A Bayesian model averaging view on shooting skills
Analyzing shooting performance of soccer players via a Bayesian model averaging approach
Note
More details will come, for the moment you can take a look at this presentation created for a course on Bayesian model averaging.
General Info
I am not a Bayesian per se but I do am intrigued by Bayesian statistics and I am well aware that the Bayesian perspective has certain benefits and there are various use cases1. Having said that, embarking on this project for a course on Bayesian model averaging was fun and informative. However, the results presented here and in the presentation should not be taken too seriously. If you truly are interested in an evaluation of shooting skills of soccer player I recommend you to have a look at my project about it: RGAX: Rethinking goals above expectation (GAX).
